Mitchell Evangelical Free Church began as a small Bible study in a garage right here in Mitchell. Over the years, that small group grew into a vibrant church family and in 1991, we officially joined the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).
We hold God’s Word as our foundation. Clear, faithful Bible teaching shapes everything we do from Sunday sermons to small groups and everyday life. We are a member-driven church, meaning we believe every follower of Christ is called and equipped to serve, lead, and live out their faith in the world.
More than anything, we are a church family. We worship together, serve together, and care for one another throughout the week. Whether you’ve never been to church, you’re returning after some time away, or you’ve been walking with Jesus for years, there’s a place for you here.
We’d love to welcome you into the life of our church.
At Mitchell Evangelical Free Church, our mission is simple: to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.
We want to be a church that is rooted in Scripture, growing in faith, and reaching our community with the gospel.
We envision a body of believers equipped to live out their faith in everyday life — at work, at home, and in the world.
We grow through faithful teaching, prayer, and daily obedience to God’s Word.
We’re a spiritual family that encourages, serves, and walks through life together.
We’re called to make disciples at home, in our community, and around the world.
We’re a Bible-teaching church committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and the hope of salvation by grace through faith. We’re part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), and we hold to its Statement of Faith.
